| The next meeting of the SAF Station of the CCA will be held on October 4 at the Spaulding Wooden Boat Center in Sausalito. Something different will be tried for lunch and we have a terrific speaker lined up. Please plan to join us.
Since the meeting will be meeting in a boatyard, we will be serving a variety of delicious sandwiches prepared by the highly regarded Davey Jones Deli in Sausalito. Potato chips and a cookie will also be served. Beer, wine, soda and water will be available free of charge, courtesy of Spaulding. Tips for the staff will be appreciated. The cost of the lunch, including a donation to Spaulding for set-up and clean-up, will be just $20 per person.
SAF Station member Ron Holland, one of the world's preeminent naval architects, will be our speaker. He needs no introduction. He will talk about his wooden boat building apprenticeship and lessons he learned from sailing. This promises to be a great program. Don't miss it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Parking is limited at Spaulding. Car-pooling is strongly encouraged. There are some spaces available in the vicinity of the Center and there is additional parking on the street. Bill Edinger and Clark Beek have cautioned that Clipper Yacht Harbor vigorously enforces parking restrictions there and will have violators cited.
